happy lupercalia!

February 13th to the 15th is Lupercalia, an ancient Roman -- actually possibly pre-Roman -- festival of purification. celebrating it today in the ways the Romans did (sacrificing a goat, running naked and bloody through the streets) would probably be frowned upon and likely have unwanted results, so I don't recommend it. however, any modern purification ritual would definitely be in the spirit of the holiday!

(or maybe playing Goat Simulator.)

personally I'll probably stick with a simple shower and perhaps some free-writing. it's snowing again, so no running naked through the streets for me.

Okay, I'll give you days 12 and 13,because I did a lot of Grief queue work on the 12th and there will be tab cleaning today, along possibly with more Grief work or the 3SF.

Also, since it's Lupercalia, does that mean there will be people writing and/or revealing psychic wolves stories?

I finished the (draft) story! Currently at just over 12k words. Sent to betas and I can forget about it for a while and write something else.

Day 13: a net of 206 words' worth of editing on my draft, plus a little bit of noodling around with another WIP.

Feb 13 - 400 words on the really-truly last piece for the SWG NYR challenge. And I did quite a bit of work on the spreadsheet I used to keep track of it all.

Tomorrow I should do something for the Button prompt on Fan Flashworks.

Day 12: I didn't start writing until too late at night, wrote two paragraphs and... fell asleep.

Day 13: I did a bit better today, getting in some editing and revision on various things.

You could always sacrifice a baked goat or one made of marcipan! *g* And I'm reminded of something my late grandfather liked to do when we had snow in winter: directly after a round of sauna, not only going outside into the chill air, but roll naked in the snow. LOL (They had one at home.)
Technically, part of my 6k for the 12th have been also written on the 13th, but I'm always counting the time between going to bed, so the only new words I wrote yesterday were comments about the exchange fic to my beta. But I posted the monster a second time, taking care of two chapters of botched formatting (thanks, AO3!), oh and added two paragaphs to my end notes.
