happy lupercalia!

February 13th to the 15th is Lupercalia, an ancient Roman -- actually possibly pre-Roman -- festival of purification. celebrating it today in the ways the Romans did (sacrificing a goat, running naked and bloody through the streets) would probably be frowned upon and likely have unwanted results, so I don't recommend it. however, any modern purification ritual would definitely be in the spirit of the holiday!

(or maybe playing Goat Simulator.)

personally I'll probably stick with a simple shower and perhaps some free-writing. it's snowing again, so no running naked through the streets for me.

I'm a bit late, forgot to check in last night despite the post being up early, but I'm here now!

Feb 13th - 800 words. It's amnesty week at my drabble community so I wrote 4 double drabbles across 2 fandoms.

huzzah for words! and 4 double drabbles; nice! (i have yet to write a drabble...not sure i can. maybe i should challenge myself to do one.)

I was absolutely certain I could never write a drabble. Then a fic I was trying to write wasn't working, the theme fit the current prompt at tw100, so I edited a few words out and posted my first drabble. Now I write a lot of drabbles and double drabbles. I still have some that start out as drabbles and take off, but I've discovered I CAN write drabbles if I try, so never say never!

My drabble community is drabble_zone if you want to have a go. It's for all fandoms, 100 or 200 words, a new prompt every Saturday, and regular amnesties where all prompts are fair game.
