holy catfish what a week

I'm so glad I made the decision to put a bunch of posts up early. work was BRUTAL this week -- Tuesday was okay but I was at work late trying to get everything finished up, and then Wednesday was possibly the busiest day I've ever had or ever WILL have in Records. Thursday and Friday were about a thousand times better, but I was still recovering from the first two days so I was still 100% exhausted.

slept until 1630 today and I feel much better.

I haven't updated the tallies or replied to comments yet on the past few days of posts -- I haven't even been on Dreamwidth til now! -- but I wanted to get this up sooner rather than later for y'all to check in. my goal is to finish tallies and comment-replying by tomorrow.

also, today is the first reccing post of the month!

Day 19 c 20 did some assignment work, some 3SF, some tab clearing. A little bit of everything.

yesterday and the day before (since I think I forgot to check in) I got a little farther on firelight 15. today I'm pretty sure I'm avoiding firelight by poking at the one where Chat Noir is saddest hungriest cat.

everything I've posted this month has been written for the 3 Sentence Ficathon over at rthstewart's; a couple of those bits haven't made it onto AO3 yet because they're probably going to be incorporated into a bigger project, but here's the others I've done for this round of 3SF, mostly Miraculous Ladybug but also one Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters and one Narnia. I am particularly pleased with "taking stock", "(leather-studded) fashion baby", and "armies march on their stomachs, wearing hand-knit socks".

I'm glad you're out of the crazy-busy phase at work and that you got some good sleep! Yay!

On 20 Feb. I edited the last chapter and the epilogue of the novel, discovering a minor plot hole that I'm going to fill in just a minute or two, and then I'm putting this away again for a bit to do some other work (finish a couple of original stories, send out for submission a few others, write fanfic for giggles) before coming back to it for a second, more brutal edit. (I still feel like it's 20K words too long.)

I wrote 860 words on the 20th (and 1k on the 19th, I don't remember if I reported my tally), both on the WIP.

Oh dear, it does sound as if you've had a tough run at work. Glad to hear things are looking up for you!

I'm afraid I fell into a rabbit hole of work for a couple of weeks. Hopefully matters will turn the corner after tomorrow's hearings? In the meantime, if work writing counts I definitely wrote every day since the last check in (on 5 Feb; yikes, where did the time go!?), and I posted fic and made comments pretty steadily from the 9th to the 18th.

One of the things I posted on was my WIP, a Gilded Age AU for Call Me By Your Name fandom, entitled The Age of Imagination and Experience. Elio/Oliver, [M], currently 17,690 words. I'm having lots of fun with the Wharton drawing-room pastiche, and making Gilded Age UST and pining and more UST. Now with a cameo from Walt Whitman!
