Today I wrote another two versions of the conversation I'm stuck on, and guess what? I'm still stuck. I diverged from my original outline a little way back, and I think that's the issue. Less the divergence itself -- this version is better than what I originally wrote, no question -- but I never really had a specific plan for getting from here to the rest of the stuff I had planned out. I think I'm gonna need to find a decent chunk of time to suck on my pencil and roughly outline the path from here to there, because it looks like blindly trying to write my way through in stolen ten/twenty minutes here and there isn't gonna work.

Ugh, I’m sorry to hear it’s going to be one of *those* scenes, and I hope you find the stretch of time and the energy you need to do the writing.

Today, I wrote a little H5O fic to fulfill another of my personal bingo prompts. It came in around 740 words and may or may not need a bit more of an ending. That’s tomorrow’s problem. ;-)

Good luck with your outlining! What is it that you're working on now--still the long Hornblower thing you were working on whatever many months ago?

Still the long Hornblower thing, yes! It feels less like a sprawling monster now, because I've connected up lots of the disconnected parts: I have something like 30K of contiguous story now, which is prolly a bit over half of the final story overall. (She says, ignoring the way projects like this tend to expand in all their as-yet-unwritten parts.)

Feb 25 - 300 words: a drabble that goes with yesterday's double drabble, and a new double drabble that is part of the greater set, and posted to Fan Flashworks amnesty. Perhaps it too will grow a third drabble for when it all gets put together for the SWG piece.

I edited the last part of my chapter again and then posted it - so most of the new words are the chapter note, I suppose. *g*
Sorry to hear you're so stuck on this conversation! I know that feeling and this kind of being stuck so well; there are a few pausing WIPs I have with a very similiar issue. Good luck for working through this!
